MediaMarktSaturn has removed Ledger hardware wallets from its stores and online platforms while Ledger investigates reports of tampered devices, widening security concerns beyond a Southeast Asian reseller case. The retailer said it pulled all Ledger products and is in contact with the manufacturer. It described the incident as serious. Ledger said Tuesday it is investigating reports beyond CryptoBilis, a reseller linked to losses involving devices sold in Southeast Asia. The investigation centers on unauthorized implants that transmitted users’ recovery phrases over cellular networks.
