Mastercard has launched Stablecoin Security to screen stablecoin transactions before funds move on-chain, combining payment and blockchain intelligence to identify fraud, scams, sanctions exposure and other financial-crime risks. Announced on October 19 at Money20/20 USA, the service is aimed at institutions that need to assess potentially complex on-chain activity before completing a payment. Its risk intelligence is designed to work with existing fraud and compliance workflows used by banks and payment firms. Mastercard said the first rollout will be in North America, with Borderless.xyz and Keyrails as initial partners.
