TLDR DTC, a DTCC subsidiary, launched a service that lets eligible users mint tokenized versions of securities. 20 clients have signed up, including JPMorgan, Citi, Fidelity Investments and Citadel Securities. The service runs on the Canton Network and DTCC’s Besu network, with more networks planned for 2027. DTC holds more than $114 trillion in assets, and the service starts with 34 supported securities. The launch follows a December 2025 SEC no-action letter and a July pilot with more than 30 firms. The Depository Trust Company (DTC) has launched tokenization services for securities it holds.
