Iran says negotiations with the United States could begin within two days if Washington agrees to implement Tehran’s demands, a condition that links diplomatic progress with security in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei outlined the conditional timeline Monday. Under the proposal, security in the strait would be restored as the Iran-U.S. negotiation process begins. Baghaei said any indirect contact between Iran and the United States through intermediaries would use Iran’s “seven-day plan” as its basis.
