Intuit Tests AI Month-End Accounting Tool With a Limited Group

Intuit is testing an artificial intelligence (AI) tool in its Intuit Accountant Suite to prepare monthly accounting close work for a limited group of firms, with accountants retaining review and approval authority. Agentic Books Close prepares work under each firm’s standards, including account reconciliations, anomaly flags and recommended fixes. The system logs its actions. Intuit announced Agentic Books Close at Intuit Connect, held Oct. 26-28 in Las Vegas. The announcement follows an earlier preview of Intuit Connect updates . Intuit has not announced a general-availability date for the pilot.
