MasterCard has introduced a risk-screening service for stablecoin payments that allows financial institutions to assess potential fraud, scams, and sanctions exposure before funds move on-chain as the payments company expands its digital asset infrastructure. The service, called Stablecoin Security, combines payment data with blockchain intelligence to generate risk scores across the transaction lifecycle. Delivered through an application programming interface (API), it is designed to integrate with existing banking fraud detection and compliance systems.
