Mastercard has introduced a stablecoin transaction security service that allows financial institutions to screen payments for fraud, scams and sanctions risks before funds move across blockchain networks. Mastercard has unveiled Stablecoin Security to help financial institutions detect fraud, scams and sanctions risks in stablecoin payments. The service combines payment intelligence with blockchain analytics to generate transaction risk scores before funds are transferred. Borderless.xyz and Keyrails are the initial partners, with the service launching first in North America before a global rollout in 2027. Mastercard plans to expand the service through BVNK, the stablecoin infrastructure provider it acquired in August 2026.
