The HSBC RedCoin stablecoin has signed up 50,000 users in just over a week. Group CEO Georges Elhedery disclosed the figure on Monday at Hong Kong FinTech Week. The South China Morning Post reported his remarks. Merchant payments and wallet top-ups are already live on PayMe. That is the plain read. A bank-issued HKD token sat inside an app people already use. It moved from launch to a five-figure user count in days, not months.
