Google Cloud Outage in London Disrupts 31 Internet Services

On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, a Google Cloud computing failure originating in the London Europe-West2 data centre completely crippled 31 primary internet services, including Cloud Storage and the Kubernetes Engine. Although the physical server meltdown occurred in the United Kingdom, the interconnected nature of digital banking caused immediate international ripple effects, heavily impacting financial platforms in Asia, specifically Revolut’s services in Singapore. Google is down – Multiple Google Cloud services experienced serious network disruptions at its European data center based in London. Most banks are affected in EU.
