Gold and silver prices remained under pressure on October 14, while crude oil traded higher ahead of the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) report. The inflation data could influence the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate outlook and drive the next move in precious metals. Gold price traded near $4,145–$4,146, down from around $4,200 in the previous session. Prices attempted a recovery overnight but fell again, keeping gold in a weak position. However, the immediate support is at $4,120, while resistance stands at $4,170. The CPI report could determine whether prices fall further or recover.
