Glimpse Beats GPT-6 Astra on Two Visual Evaluations

Glimpse, a research preview, outperformed GPT-6 Astra on two visual evaluations and gives users an API and chat interface for analyzing images and video. Released Oct. 16, Glimpse can return to visual material while preparing an answer. It can inspect parts of an image, select video frames or use code to measure and compare details. Elorian calls the workspace for this process a “visual scratch space.” Glimpse performed better than GPT-6 Astra on scientific chart reasoning and short-form video captioning. The model costs $0.60 per million input tokens and $3 per million output tokens.
