Florida Dermatology Group Hit by Cyberattack, Social Security Numbers, Financial Details, and Medical Records of 85,585 Patients at Risk

The personal, financial and medical records of tens of thousands of patients may be in the hands of hackers after a cyberattack on a Florida skin care practice. The Orlando-based Mid Florida Dermatology & Plastic Surgery says an unauthorized party may have copied information from its systems between March 26th and March 30th. The practice, which runs 33 offices across central Florida, reported the breach to the US Department of Health and Human Services on May 1st as affecting roughly 85,585 people, reports Claim Depot.
