Market pricing assigns a 70.7% chance to a 25-basis-point Federal Reserve rate increase at the central bank’s December meeting, down from 79.6% two days earlier . The implied probability of rates staying unchanged is 29.3%. A hike remains the more likely of the two outcomes in current market pricing. The 8.9-percentage-point drop reflects a change in expectations. These probabilities do not represent a Federal Reserve decision.
