On its third-quarter call, Evercore described its investment banking backlog as record-level, while CFO Tim LaLonde said healthy activity was expected to provide momentum into 2027. The description follows the firm’s July 29 call, when management characterized its backlog as near-record. Chairman and CEO John S. Weinberg said, “Our backlog, which is at record levels, continues to replenish at a healthy rate.” Evercore did not disclose the backlog’s dollar value or transaction count, define the period used for its record comparison, or estimate when the backlog might generate revenue.
