Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt is estimated to hold about 1% of Anthropic, linking a 2021 investment to a potential initial public offering by the AI company. Schmidt’s investment in Anthropic’s Series A is estimated at tens of millions of dollars. The company announced the $124 million round on May 28, 2021, and named him among its investors. It did not disclose his individual contribution or ownership percentage. Anthropic last announced a $965 billion post-money valuation following a funding round on May 28, 2026.
