Eni approved the final investment decision for its offshore Cyprus Cronos project in July, setting a 2028 target for first gas from the Block 6 development. McDermott received a subsea contract in September, while Halliburton received a contract for deepwater well construction and completions. Block 6 contains more than 3 trillion cubic feet of gas initially in place. Plateau production is expected to reach 500 million standard cubic feet per day. Eni operates Block 6 and holds a 50% interest; TotalEnergies is its partner.
