The Dogecoin ecosystem is undergoing a commercial restructuring after the Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge ended their existing trademark licensing agreement. Under a termination agreement effective October 19, 2026, House of Doge must pay $400,000 and stop using the licensed branding by December 31. The move comes alongside the creation of Dogecoin Labs as the Foundation’s new official commercial partner. The termination agreement published on Justia confirms that the previous licensing arrangement has ended. House of Doge must pay the Foundation $400,000, either in cash, company shares or a combination of both, subject to the agreement’s payment terms.
