A new Democratic majority in the House and Senate may leave U.S. crypto bills facing a tougher legislative outlook in 2027, despite signs of support across party lines. Bipartisan crypto bills will face resistance next year, though crypto remains a cross-party issue. The incoming Congress includes 19 crypto-supporting senators and 226 House members, alongside eight senators and 106 House members classified as opponents. The CLARITY Act remains stalled in the Senate and is unlikely to advance over the next two years following Brown’s victory. Democrats may investigate the Trump family’s crypto businesses, including World Liberty Financial.
