DarkSword iOS Exploits Tied to $5.57 Million in Crypto Losses

Security researchers and crypto commentators have warned that DarkSword, an iOS exploit kit, is being used to target crypto users through compromised websites, with losses reaching as much as $5.57 million across more than 20 wallets. The warnings identify at least 18 malicious sites and describe an attack that exploits a flaw in iOS 18. Researchers say simply visiting an infected page in Safari can trigger malicious code to run in the background. The method does not require a user to connect a wallet or approve a transaction.
