Solana is about to complete an acceleration that began in August. The crypto network must reduce its target time between two blocks from 250 to 200 milliseconds during epoch 1053, expected on October 9. At this pace, five block production opportunities can appear each second, compared to 2.5 when Solana still operated at 400 ms.
