Crypto Positions See $149 Million in 24-Hour Liquidations as Shorts Lead

Crypto markets saw about $149 million in forced position closures over a 24-hour period, with short positions accounting for roughly twice the liquidations tied to long positions. Short liquidations totaled $99.9278 million, compared with $48.614 million for longs. The two figures add up to about $148.54 million, consistent with the rounded marketwide total. Ether (ETH) short liquidations reached $30.0233 million, versus $6.5944 million for long liquidations. Bitcoin (BTC) recorded $25.7779 million in short liquidations and $8.3188 million in long liquidations. Short liquidations exceeded long liquidations for both assets.
