Bitcoin ended the week of 5 to 11 October 2026 at about $83,773, down roughly 3% (Binance daily data via CoinLab ; Bitwise puts the drop nearer 2.6%), its first losing week in four. The slide ran from Tuesday to Thursday and bottomed at $80,394 on 8 October before a three-day rebound. On Monday 12 October BTC trades around $84,000 and the total crypto market cap is about $2.82 trillion, with Bitcoin dominance near 59.5% and the Fear & Greed index at 69 (Greed), up from 59 on Friday.
