Traders holding leveraged bets on higher prices were forced out of more than $210 million in long positions as Bitcoin and Ether declined. Bitcoin (BTC) neared $81,000, while Ether (ETH) approached $2,300. Long liquidations occur when trades built to benefit from rising prices are forcibly closed after the market moves against them. The closures reflected a retreat from bullish positions during the decline. The liquidation update covered long positions across crypto markets, while a separate prediction contract tracked whether Hyperliquid would reach a $100 price target by year-end 2026.
