Crypto Liquidations Reach $873 Million in Four Hours, Mostly Long Positions

Crypto derivatives traders saw $873 million in positions forcibly closed over a four-hour stretch, with roughly 90% of the total coming from long positions as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) prices fell. Long liquidations totaled $793 million, compared with $79.94 million in short positions. The figures put the long share just above 90%, with nearly 10 times as much liquidated on the long side as the short side. Across 24 hours, liquidations reached $1.05 billion, affecting about 203,500 traders.
