Crypto Liquidations Reach $493 Million, Affecting 192,281 People

Crypto markets recorded $493 million in liquidations during a 24-hour period reported Oct. 24, with long positions accounting for most of the total and liquidations affecting 192,281 people. Long-position liquidations totaled $351 million, while short-position liquidations reached $142 million. The two sides together matched the reported $493 million total. The largest single liquidation was valued at $4.7743 million on Binance’s ETHUSDT trading pair, tied to Ether (ETH). An earlier 24-hour liquidation snapshot totaled $348 million on Oct. 12.
