Crypto Liquidations Reach $304.2 Million, With Longs at 73% of Total

Crypto markets recorded $304.2 million in forced liquidations during the 24 hours through 8:06 p.m. ET Oct. 23, with long positions accounting for 73% of the total. The period covered 86,328 orders across Binance, OKX and Bybit. Liquidation means a trading position is forcibly closed. Long positions totaled $220.7 million, while short positions totaled $83.6 million. The components differ from the overall figure by $100,000 because of rounding. Bitcoin (BTC) had $60.5 million in liquidations, including $50.7 million in longs and $9.9 million in shorts.
