Compound’s COMP jumps 27%, outpacing Bitcoin and Ether

COMP's rally beat both crypto benchmarks over one, seven and 28 days, even as Compound's total value locked slipped below its late-September level Compound’s governance token, COMP, had the kind of day most large-cap crypto assets only daydream about. On October 20, 2026, it climbed approximately 27.3% in 24 hours, comfortably beating both Bitcoin and Ether. The rally came without an obvious trigger. Meanwhile, the protocol’s own deposits have been drifting the other way. COMP pushed to intraday highs near $29 before cooling off.
