Commerzbank Cuts 2026 Net Interest Income Outlook to €8.5 Billion

For 2026, Commerzbank now projects roughly €8.5 billion in net interest income, down from its prior €8.6 billion estimate amid stiffer competition for deposits; its full-year net result target remains at least €3.4 billion. For the nine months ended Sept. 30, earnings per share rose 55.9% to €2.25 from €1.44 a year earlier. The figure covers the first nine months of the year, not the third quarter alone, and is calculated under IAS 33. Net interest income totaled €6.222 billion for the nine-month period, up 0.7% from €6.177 billion a year earlier.
