CoinDCX Restricts New Futures Positions After Liquidity Provider Incident

CoinDCX temporarily restricted new crypto futures positions Friday after an incident involving a global liquidity provider, shifting its futures market into a mode that allows only position reductions. The change blocks users from opening positions or adding to existing ones. Traders can still reduce or fully close positions they already hold, but CoinDCX gave no timetable for ending the restriction. CoinDCX said customer funds remained secure and deposits and withdrawals continued to operate. Its notice did not name the liquidity provider involved.
