XRP fell with the broader crypto market as Binance investigated unauthorized withdrawal transactions from several hot wallets, a security incident that led the exchange to halt deposits and withdrawals. Binance’s initial findings pointed to a DevOps engineer’s laptop as a possible entry point. The company said access to a service container may have enabled the transactions, while its early review found no evidence of a private-key leak. Deposits have resumed, and Binance expects withdrawals to return within 48 hours. The exchange said it is coordinating with law enforcement and blockchain partners as its review continues.
