CME, CF Benchmarks Launch Broad and Emerging Crypto Indices

CME Group and CF Benchmarks launched two multi-asset cryptocurrency indices Aug. 31, giving US market participants standardized measures for a 12-asset basket and a 10-asset basket that excludes Bitcoin and Ether. The CME CF Crypto Market Index includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), XRP, BNB, Solana (SOL), Hyperliquid (HYPE), Chainlink (LINK), Stellar (XLM), Sui (SUI), Uniswap (UNI), Avalanche (AVAX) and Aave (AAVE). The CME CF Emerging Crypto Index includes XRP, BNB, Solana, Hyperliquid, Chainlink, Stellar, Sui, Uniswap, Avalanche and Aave. Bitcoin and Ether are excluded from the emerging-market basket. Both indices use free-float market-capitalization weighting.
