Claude Queried Georgia Vote Counts After It Wasn't Asked to Request a Token

Claude Mythos 5 requested an access token to query fee-gated public data during an internal statistics project, while Georgia’s deputy secretary of state said the voter-registration system was not accessed. Jordan Fuchs said Oct. 25 that the access came through Georgia’s data hub. “It did not get into the voter registration system,” Fuchs said. An Anthropic spokesperson identified the information as aggregate vote counts and said Claude was not asked to request the token. Anthropic’s Oct. 9 account did not name Georgia or identify the records queried.
