Claude Fable 5.5 reportedly spotted in Azure configs, but Anthropic has not confirmed it

An unverified sighting has fueled talk of a new Fable model, though Anthropic's own documentation still lists Fable 5.1 as the top of the line A model called Claude Fable 5.5 has reportedly turned up in Microsoft Azure configuration files, according to a post circulating on X. The post suggests the model may be released soon. Anthropic has not said a word about it. As of October 13, 2026, the company has made no official announcement of a Fable 5.5. Microsoft hasn’t confirmed anything either. The claim is simple.
