China was the largest identified destination for Russian seaborne crude in September 2026, with average flows of 1.415 million barrels per day. India ranked second among identified destinations at 816,000 barrels per day. The figures describe shipment rates during the month, not the cumulative shares of Russia’s crude buyers. Flows assigned to an unknown-destination category reached 709,000 barrels per day in September 2026. That was up from 24,000 barrels per day in August 2026 and zero in September 2025.
