Celo adds cNGN and Ripio wFIAT support to x402 facilitator

Celo Core Co. said its native x402 facilitator has expanded to support cNGN and Ripio’s local-currency stablecoins wMXN, wCLP and wPEN, broadening the network’s agentic payment rail across Nigeria and several Latin American markets. The update, published on October 27, 2026, extends Celo’s hosted verification and settlement service for stablecoin payments and comes after earlier additions of Ripio’s wARS, wBRL and wCOP. According to Celo Core Co., the facilitator now supports 10 stablecoins in total, including USDC, USD₮, USA₮, wARS, wBRL, wCOP, wMXN, wCLP, wPEN and cNGN.
