Brazilian Finance Minister Dario Durigan announced that the government will offer specialized business loans to help companies manage the financial strain of two massive economic overhauls. The Senate recently passed a constitutional amendment abolishing the country’s standard six-day workweek, legally reducing the maximum working hours from 44 to 40 hours per week. This mandate forces employers to grant workers two paid days off without reducing their salaries, which will take effect after a 14-month transition period.
