Blur Sets Nov. 12 Frontend Shutdown as BLUR Falls 16.55%

Blur will close its frontend and stop matching new loans through its Blend NFT lending protocol on Nov. 12, 2026, while its onchain marketplace protocol remains active and BLUR drops more than 16%. Blend borrowers must repay their loans by the shutdown date or allow them to default. Blur will later provide a frontend tool allowing users to withdraw their assets from Blend. The marketplace protocol will continue operating after the frontend closes, and BLUR will retain control of the protocol’s fee switch. The announcement separates the user-facing service and lending activity from the underlying onchain marketplace.
