Bitmine Adds 12,535 Ether as Holdings Near 5% Supply Goal

Bitmine Immersion Technologies acquired 12,535 Ether (ETH) over the past week, lifting its treasury to 6,041,481 ETH and bringing the company closer to its goal of owning 5% of the ETH supply. The company held the tokens as of 3 p.m. ET (19:00 UTC) Oct. 18. That was 4.9% of the 122.1 million ETH supply figure used for its target. In its Oct. 19 update, Bitmine put its progress toward the 5% mark at 99%. Of that total, 5,067,309 ETH was staked, equal to about 84% of Bitmine’s holdings. The company valued ETH at $2,365 per token at the Oct.
