Bitcoin Short Grows to About $37.5 Million in Profitable Account

A contract trading account with more than $126 million in cumulative profit added about $4.63 million to its Bitcoin (BTC) short, increasing its exposure to a decline in BTC’s price. The addition took place between 9:41 p.m. ET Monday (01:41 UTC Tuesday) and 1:42 a.m. ET Tuesday (05:42 UTC). Over that period, the short’s reported value rose from about $32.79 million to about $37.5 million. The $4.63 million figure describes the amount added to the short.
