Bitcoin Rises to $82,500 as U.S. Stocks Gain After Asian Losses

Bitcoin (BTC) rose to about $82,500 Tuesday as U.S. stocks gained after losses in Asian and European markets, leaving crypto and global equities on different paths during the session. BTC traded near $81,400 at 6:22 a.m. ET (10:22 UTC) and near $82,500 at 12:40 p.m. ET (16:40 UTC). The S&P 500 was up 0.4% at 11:45 a.m. ET (15:45 UTC). South Korea’s KOSPI closed at 5,552.74, down 3.73%. France’s CAC 40 ended at 7,838.49, a decline of 0.38%. French 10-year government bond yields reached 4.9877% during the session before easing to 4.88% by 12:26 p.m. ET (16:26 UTC).
