Bitcoin holds $83,000 after major selloff, NEAR gains 10%, Stellar falls 13.5%

Bitcoin stabilized close to $83,000 following a sharp market downturn, putting it 3.6% lower for the week after hitting a low near $80,400. While most leading cryptocurrencies experienced steeper declines over the same period, select tokens such as NEAR Protocol and Monero limited their losses and, in some cases, recorded notable gains. A series of failed attempts to reclaim the $87,000 mark preceded Bitcoin’s pullback earlier in the week. The slide intensified, sending BTC down to $80,400 before recovering above $83,000.
