Bitcoin Hashrate Reaches 7-Month High as AI Shift Doesn’t Reduce Mining Pressure

Bitcoin ’s network hashrate has rebounded to a seven-month high, even as some of the industry’s largest publicly traded miners redirect capacity toward artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC). The development suggests that the machines taken offline for AI workloads are not disappearing entirely—some portion may be re-entering Bitcoin mining through other operators, keeping competition intense for remaining network participants. BlocksBridge Consulting, in its latest Miner Weekly newsletter, reports that Bitcoin’s seven-day average hashrate has recovered above 1 zettahash per second (ZH/s)—or 1,000 exahashes per second (EH/s)—its highest level since March 3.
