Bitcoin Has New Major Advantage Over Gold, Analyst Says

Bitcoin may have a major advantage over gold that could become increasingly important as scientists make progress toward artificially producing the precious metal, according to market analyst Jesse Eckel. In an October 21 post on X, Eckel argued that technological breakthroughs could eventually undermine gold's scarcity, while Bitcoin's supply would remain mathematically constrained. "The reality is lab grown gold will eventually happen and be cheap just like diamonds," Eckel wrote. His comments came in response to a surprising announcement from San Francisco-based startup Marathon Fusion, which claims to have achieved a breakthrough in transforming mercury into real gold.
