Following an October 30 decision, planned disposals will rise from approximately 330 billion yen to 860 billion yen per year at book value, starting in January 2027. The central bank noted the new pace equates to roughly 2,460 billion yen at indicative market value, based on the market-to-book ratio of ETFs sold from January through September 2026. Sales will be spread throughout the year, with higher volumes beginning in January 2027.
