Bank of America has agreed to a proposed $2 million settlement in a class action over denied unauthorized debit-card and ATM disputes, which would provide eligible customers a share of the fund. The lawsuit, Dennie et al. v. Bank of America, N.A., alleges the bank violated the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) by rejecting disputes and failing to properly explain its decisions. Bank of America denies wrongdoing and agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty and expense of continuing the case.
