AWS commitments top $280 billion as CEO plays down AI concentration, rules out spinoff

AWS says its customer base spans industries and regions, addressing concerns that its growth depends on a handful of AI companies. Corporate cloud migration and AI adoption are reinforcing demand for each other, while the business has no plans to separate from Amazon. In an interview with Fox Business on October 31, Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman said committed customer spending exceeded $280 billion, with AI labs accounting for only a small portion.
