AT&T shares closed below their previous close on Oct. 16 as the company pursued changes to its fiber and Mexico businesses. At 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC), they closed at $23.44, down 0.26% from the $23.50 prior close. In its Oct. 8 trading session , AT&T shares rose 1.63% to $24.87 and finished above the 50-day exponential moving average while remaining below the 20-day and 200-day averages. Separately, AT&T completed a $5.75 billion purchase of substantially all of Lumen’s Mass Markets fiber business on Feb. 2.
