An Argentine federal judge ended the criminal investigation into the LIBRA memecoin case on Oct. 23, ruling that the evidence did not establish fraud in a probe involving President Javier Milei and others. Federal Judge Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi’s decision also covered Milei’s sister, Karina Milei, and U.S. businessman Hayden Davis, who has described himself as an adviser to the token’s launch. The judge said Milei’s status as president may have widened the reach of his post on X promoting LIBRA, but that promotion alone was not fraud. Milei recommended LIBRA in February 2025.
