Apple Acknowledges Inner-Display Issue in Some iPhone Duo Units

Apple acknowledged an inner-display problem affecting a “small number” of iPhone Duo foldable phones Monday, telling owners with display trouble to contact AppleCare for a replacement. Apple spokesperson Alex Kirschner said, “We are aware of an issue impacting the inner display on a small number of iPhone Duo units.” The company did not disclose how many devices were affected. Customers have described cracks along the center crease, bright lines across the display and white patches on the right side. Some reported hearing a crunch while opening the phone. The descriptions do not establish a single symptom pattern.
