A server-side rule now stops the coding tool from cloning specific games, even when users rename or modify them Anthropic has drawn a new line in the sand for Claude Code. The AI coding tool now refuses to recreate specific existing video games, even if a user tweaks the mechanics or slaps a new name on the project. No announcement came with the change. Developers found out the way developers usually find out about these things: by running into it. The restriction was first noted around October 27, 2026.
